Empowering Girls to Lead Boldly and Authentically
Our Goals
Girls Leading Our World is a mentorship experience designed to help girls (11 - 16) uncover their leadership potential and develop the confidence to lead in ways that are true to who they are.
Our goals are to:
-
Expand how girls see and define leadership
-
Help them identify their personal strengths, values, and purpose
-
Build self-confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of identity
-
Cultivate a supportive community rooted in sisterhood and belonging
-
Equip girls with real-world tools to make a positive impact in their schools and communities
Our Approach
We center our work on the whole girl—socially, emotionally, academically, and personally. Using the LIG curriculum as our foundation, GLOW's weekly sessions focus on:
-
Exploring personal leadership styles and breaking down limiting beliefs
-
Creating space for reflection, dialogue, and authentic self-expression
-
Offering hands-on activities, curated field trips, and service projects
-
Connecting with inspiring women leaders and community mentors
-
Building practical skills in communication, goal setting, conflict resolution, and decision-making
Our sessions are interactive, safe, and intentionally designed to help girls lead from where they are—whether that’s in the classroom, in their friendships, or in their communities.
Why This Matters
Too often, girls are told that leadership looks a certain way—loud, commanding, or reserved for adults in formal roles. Many girls, especially Black and Brown girls, don’t see themselves reflected in those traditional narratives. GLOW challenges that.
We believe leadership looks like empathy, courage, collaboration, creativity, and showing up as your full self. We create space for girls to embrace their brilliance, learn how to use their voice, and feel confident making decisions and creating change.
Early adolescence is a critical time for identity development. GLOW meets girls where they are, helping them realize they already have what it takes to lead—and we’re here to walk beside them every step of the way.
We invite you and your daughter to join the GLOW community and witness the incredible transformation that occurs when girls are supported, inspired, and allowed to succeed.
GLOW Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum
Our research-based curriculum is designed for girls, ages 11-16 years old, and covers relatable topics that help youth navigate the trials and celebrate the accomplishments of their middle & high school years. Through this program, participants will uncover their natural resilience, gain a better understanding of themselves and others, develop vital social and emotional skills, access their creative intelligence, and cultivate their personal potential.
Embracing five pillars of SEL that include:
-
Self-Awareness
-
Self – Management
-
Social Awareness
-
Relationship Skills
-
Responsible Decision-making
Our program focuses on mentoring, life skills, social awareness, personal development, and community engagement. We recruit mentors to conduct virtual mentoring sessions based on our weekly curriculum topic.
GLOW Circles, workshops, field trips, outings and events complete the Girls Leading Our World service delivery model.
Program effectiveness consists of tracking impact by assessing academics, behavior, graduation rates, and participation.

The GLOW Program is designed to:
-
Help girls recognize and own their unique leadership potential.
-
Provide guided mentorship and relatable role models from the community.
-
Offer hands-on experiences that build confidence and real-life skills.
-
Create safe spaces for open conversations about identity, purpose, and impact.
-
Encourage girls to take initiative and lead change in their schools and communities.
